The holiday weekend is close but yet so far. Sometimes, we all need a little pick-me-up, and Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant supplied that on Tuesday.
Bryant posted a photo of him and his son, Kyler, on a plane headed to Chicago for Summer Camp ahead of next month's Opening Day. And, you guessed it, the photo makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
The Cubs are reporting for the resumption of spring training this week. Because he has a newborn son, some wondered if Bryant would consider opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. However, Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer said Monday no players have come to the club about opting out at this point.
