Ian Happ exited Saturday's Brewers-Cubs game at Wrigley Field after getting hit by a pitch on his knee.
Happ said postgame x-rays came back negative.
"It's good," Happ said. "It's going to be pretty stiff [Sunday], I'm sure, but right now it's not too bad."
The pitch from Milwaukee reliever Trevor Gott hit Happ on his left kneecap in the seventh inning. He fell to the ground and received medical attention from a Cubs trainer and manager David Ross before walking off under his own power.
"Square to the kneecap," Happ said. "Pretty impressive."
Clint Frazier took over for Happ as a pinch runner.
Happ has been impressive offensively in the Cubs' season-opening series against the Brewers. He's 5-for-7 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs.
