Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ is off to a host start and explains the offseason work that went into it on Unfiltered with David Kaplan.
It’s a happy day for Ian Happ.
The Chicago Cubs outfielder announced on Instagram that he is engaged to his girlfriend, Julie Mazur.
“The best is yet to come,” he wrote for the caption.
That phrase is coming to fruition on the baseball diamond, as well. Despite the Cubs’ 9-13 record, Happ is hitting a career-high .303 with a pair of home runs and 11 RBIs.
While the engagement news comes on a Cubs off day, he did have to push back one of his other gigs:
With a wedding ring coming soon, we’ll see if Happ can someday earn a World Series ring to match.
