Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder continues to show support for Cubs with new vinyl

Is there any doubt about Eddie Vedder’s Cubs “Authentic Fan” status?

The Pearl Jam frontman has a new 7-inch vinyl single and it will be handed out at Wrigley Field for fans who buy tickets to the July 6 game against the Reds.

The colors of the vinyl are ones Cubs fans should recognize — red and blue. One side will feature Vedder’s Cubs song All The Way, and the flip side will have Steve Goodman’s 1984 tribute, Go, Cubs, Go.

Vedder’s 2008 “All the Way” single became a sing-along anthem, as fans wished for a Cubs World Series title. When the Cubs did win the World Series in 2016, the Cubs made Vedder’s song an official video release, which peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard Rock charts.

You may remember Vedder appearing on an MLB commercial standing alongside Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo to sing a new jingle last year.

If you want to catch Eddie Vedder at Wrigley, Pearl Jam will be back at the Friendly Confines August 18 and 20. This marks the return of Pearl Jam when they played at Wrigley back in 2016.
