Will baseball's top free agent head to Philadelphia?
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the Philadelphia Phillies have emerged as the "clear-cut favorite" to land Bryce Harper.
Nightengale reports that the Phillies had a five-hour meeting with the 26-year-old free agent on Saturday in Las Vegas, and optimism is running high in Philadelphia.
Last week, a report from The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal said the Cubs want a shot at Harper, but ownership is "unlikely" to provide the approval.
On the South Side, the White Sox have met with Harper twice, but remain a "longshot".
It's more likely that the White Sox land Manny Machado, and Nightengale predicts just that.

It's no secret that Rick Hahn and Co. have shifted their focus to the 26-year-old infielder, given that the team has already signed Machado's brother-in-law, Yonder Alonso, and his close friend, Jon Jay.
Nightengale reports that the White Sox have offered Machado a contract for "about $200 million."
Is that enough to bring him to the South Side? Time will tell. And maybe soon.
