Christopher Kamka: Twitter was not around for the Sandberg Game. In fact, it didn’t hit the scene until 22 years later. We were robbed of the opportunity to watch the game as a community of baseball fans through the lens of social media, much like we’ve grown accustomed to doing nowadays. I think it would be fun to recreate that experience with one of the most exciting Cub games of our generation.
Luke Stuckmeyer: Twitter originally limited us to 140 characters and later expanded to its current 280. I just wish my teachers in 1984 would have done the same. A guy can only double space and shrink the margins so much before it’s obvious, you know what I mean?
Chris: Since I was only four years old, I have no recollection of what I was doing at the time, so I’ll go back to 1984 and “tweet” the game as I would now. What do you say?
Luke: Count me in. I’ll tweet as myself in 1984. I was 12 years old, couldn’t hit a curveball and already hated math.
