Express Yourself: Ice Cube explains White Sox cap significance in N.W.A.

The BIG3 is coming to town.

No, not Lebron, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.... more like Allen Iverson. Mike Bibby and Chauncey Billups.

The BIG3 will be Straight Outta the UIC Pavilion on July 23. The BIG3 is a league comprised of mostly retired NBA players, including the few mentioned above as well as other notable retirees like Gary Payton, Clyde Drexler and Julius Irving who have found their way to the league as coaches. You can see the full rosters here

Most importantly the BIG3 brings the prodigal return of one of the Bulls lost sons, the White Mamba himself, Brian Scalabrine. Scalabrine plays for the Ball Hogs in the BIG3.

A professional basketball league the BIG3 plays 3-on-3 basketball on approximately half a normal sized court, while playing take out. Other entertaining rule changes include a 4-point shot and games being played until one team reaches 50 points, not based off of time.

Rapper and actor Ice Cube is an invester and large promoter for the BIG3. He was able to meet up with CSN's Kendall Gill, who has just recently joined the league, and talk about how he helped make the White Sox cap iconic and why he chose to wear it while a member of the trailblazing rap group, N.W.A.

"Chicago changed their colors to black and white" Cube stated, "it was perfect for us". Check out the full interview in the video above.
