The American League MVP, Aaron Judge, is heading to the New York Yankees' injured list with a contusion and sprained ligament on his toe, according to Aaron Boone after the Yankees-White Sox game on Tuesday.

Judge, 31, earned MVP honors last season after leading the league in OPS, OPS+, slugging percentage and home runs, with an American League record 62 over the season. He is undoubtedly one of -- if not the best -- players in MLB.

Without Judge in Tuesday's lineup, the White Sox took game one of their road series in the Bronx. Lucas Giolito pitched his second six-inning no-hit outing. Liam Hendriks earned his first save since returning from his battle with cancer. Seby Zavala smacked two home runs into the stands at Yankee Stadium.

Judge's absence helps the White Sox during this series. Over 23 career games against the Sox, Judge has a .382 batting average along with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Along with dominating essentially any team in front of him, Judge has a knack for beating up on the White Sox.

The White Sox can notch a series win over the Yankees on Wednesday.
