White Sox salute Bulls, Blackhawks with jersey tribute

By Sarah Langs

While baseball season is entering its second month, hockey and basketball are well into the playoffs at this point. With both the Bulls and Blackhawks having made the playoffs every season since the 2008-09 one, and the Bulls making it 10 of the last 11, Chicago has gotten used to the postseason.

Today, the White Sox are showing their support for the two Chicago squads currently battling their ways for championship glory. The organization has outfitted eight statues throughout the stadium in Bulls and Blackhawks jerseys, including a few that seem to defy the laws of physics. How did they get the jersey over Harold Baines’ hands as they clutch that bat?

Others donning the Chicago red home jerseys are statues of Frank Thomas, Billy Pierce, Nellie Fox, Carlton Fisk, Paul Konerko, Luis Aparicio and Charles Comiskey.
