The White Sox picked up their fifth win a row after between the New York Yankees 6-5 in the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday.
The Sox took the lead early on courtesy of a two-run home run from Jake Burger.

The Sox lead would only last one inning before the Yankees tied the game in the bottom half of the second. But Luis Robert Jr. gave his team the lead right back leading off the third.
The Sox increased their advantage one batter later when Yoán Moncada decided to get in on the action, slugging his third home run of the season.

The Yankees chipped away at the White Sox lead, scoring twice in the fourth inning to once again tie the game before they took the lead with a run in the fifth.
Down 5-4 in the seventh, Eloy Jiménez belted a two-run shot, his sixth home run of the season, to give the White Sox the 6-5 advantage, one they would ultimately hold on.
With Jiménez's home run, it marked the first time this season that Jiménez, Moncada and Robert Jr. all homered in the same game, according to Daryl Van Schouwen.
The Sox will be looking for their sixth win in a row in game two of the doubleheader.
