Bulls assign Denzel Valentine, Daniel Gafford to G League

Wednesday, the Bulls announced that they've assigned guard Denzel Valentine and power forward/center Daniel Gafford to the Windy City Bulls of the G League.

Valentine and Gafford have played sparingly in the early stages of the 2019-20 NBA season. Valentine — who missed all of the 2018-19 season after undergoing left ankle surgery — hasn't played since Oct. 26 against the Raptors, when he logged just five minutes.

Gafford, meanwhile, has played just six minutes across two games this season (Oct. 26 against the Raptors, Wednesday against the Hawks). The Bulls drafted him in the second round (No. 38 overall) of the NBA Draft in June.

Valentine will practice with Windy City on Thursday and is expected to stay with the team for its first two games on Friday and Saturday. Gafford will remain with the team through Friday's game. Both contests are against the Wisconsin Herd (Bucks G-League affiliate).
