And in a Dwyane Wade jersey at that. They played together in Chicago, you’ll remember, and reportedly often discussed the cultural chasm between the Heat and Bulls while locker-room neighbors. Now, Butler is the face of a Heat team amid a meteoric rise as Wade cheers him on from blissful retirement.
Apologies. Old cynicisms die hard. Butler is clearly living his best life on and off the court — and appears just as anxious for the return of basketball as the rest of us.
