With the 2017 NBA Draft looming on Thursday, CSN's Mark Strotman and Scott Phillips broke down some of the top players the Bulls could target at No. 16.
John Collins, PF, Wake Forest
2016-2017 Stats: 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 62% FG
Strotman's take: Super productive in the ACC. Could be adding more to his game.
Phillips' take: Like his offensive talent. Where is he defensively, though?
Jarett Allen, SF, Texas
2016-2017 stats: 12.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 56% FG
NBA
Strotman: Has to carve out a niche, like Rudy Gobert, to be a guy who stays productive in the NBA.
Phillips: Big, physical guy who can develop into a shot-blocker. Could be a steal.
Justin Jackson, SF, North Carolina
2016-2017 stats: 18.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 51% FG
Strotman: Good fit in Chicago because of his 3-point ability.
Phillips: Improved his shooting and playmaking off the dribble.
Luke Kennard, SG, Duke
2016-2017 stats: 19.5 points, 52% FG, 44% 3PT FG
Strotman: More to his game than just shooting. Not sure he'll be there at No. 16 because he upped his stock.
Phillips: Tough dude. Advanced off ball screens and not afraid to take the big shot.
Terrance Ferguson, SG, Adelaide (Australia)
2016-2017 stats: 4.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, 44% FG
Strotman: Certainly fits the bill for younger and more athletic. Could learn a lot under Dwyane Wade.
Phillips: Type of guy who could win a 3-point or dunk contest.
