Where is the Humboldt Park alligator? Benny the Bull is on the case

Share

If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call?

For Humboldt Park residents, the answer to that question is Bulls mascot Benny the Bull, apparently.

Thursday, Benny joined Chicagoans in the watch for an alligator currently residing in Chicago's Humboldt Park Lagoon.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the gator, which is four-five feet long, was first spotted on Tuesday and has evaded capture thus far. Alligator Bob of the Chicago Herpetological has been setting humane traps for the gator -- Block Club Chicago declared its named to be Chance the Snapper, for what it's worth -- though he hasn't successfully caught the animal yet. Perhaps Benny can be of some assistance?
