INDIANAPOLIS — As the time before the Big Ten Championship Game continues to dwindle, Wisconsin's quarterback situation continues to evolve.
Bart Houston will start for the Badgers on Saturday night, head coach Paul Chryst told Big Ten Network's Mike Hall a couple hours prior to kickoff, with the team announcing the news shortly thereafter.

It was just hours earlier that Chryst said in an interview with a different television network that Alex Hornibrook — who has started each of the last nine games for the Badgers — would be available to play. Hornibrook sat out the second half of last weekend's win over Minnesota after sustaining a head injury. He was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.
The latest revelation from Chryst could signal that Hornibrook, while available, could be limited.
Houston started the season's first three games but was supplanted by Hornibrook as starter heading into the team's fourth game of the season against Michigan State. Chryst, though, has kept both quarterbacks heavily involved, utilizing both in a two-quarterback system.

With Houston starting Saturday, that two-quarterback system might look different than it has the majority of the season. Or maybe it'll look the same, and Chryst is simply starting Houston instead of Hornibrook. Keeping Penn State's defense guessing could certainly be a factor here.
Hornibrook has completed 58.1 percent of his passes this year for 1,243 yards and eight touchdowns compared to seven interceptions. Houston has completed 63.9 percent of his passes on the season for 912 yards and five touchdowns compared to three interceptions.
Houston is the more mobile and accurate of the two, though he hasn't completed more than nine passes in any one game since losing his starting job.
