Ohio State has been the Big Ten's best team this season, evidenced by its selection for the College Football Playoff.
So it only makes sense that the Buckeyes would boast a host of AP All-Americans, six to be precise, twice as many as the next most-represented Big Ten squad.
Ohio State placed half a dozen names on the Associated Press' annual list of the best players in college football. Center Pat Elflein, all-purpose player Curtis Samuel and safety Malik Hooker were on the First Team. Guard Billy Price, linebacker Raekwon McMillan and punter Cameron Johnston were on the Second Team.

Michigan had three players on the All-America teams. Do-it-all star Jabrill Peppers was picked as a First Team linebacker, and cornerback Jourdan Lewis was also on the First Team. Tight end Jake Butt made the Second Team.
Wisconsin saw two of its best picked as All-Americans: offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk on the First Team and linebacker T.J. Watt on the Second Team.
Five other Big Ten schools had a representative of one of the three rosters. Indiana guard Dan Feeney was a First Team pick. Iowa cornerback Desmond King was a Second Team selection. Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Northwestern wide receiver Austin Carr and Nebraska safety Nathan Gerry all made the Third Team.
The Big Ten had the second-most representatives among the three teams of any conference with 16. The SEC edged the Big Ten with 18 selections. The ACC had 11 players picked, the Pac-12 had 10 and the Big 12 had nine.
