Starting with how I expected the Bears-49ers to play out before the year began:
Week 11. At San Francisco 49ers (13-3) Mon., Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m.
Analysis: San Francisco powered up its passing offense with Randy Moss and Mario Manningham signings and drafting Illinois A.J. Jenkins in the first round. This defense was No. 1 in yardage allowed and No. 2 in points surrendered. But it is difficult to see this Bears team losing three in a row and this is a conference game.

Result: W (7-3)
I had anticipated the Bears losing to Houston, which they did, and to Tennessee, which they did not. Im a little bit hedged here, because if they do lose to San Francisco, theyll be the 7-3 I foresaw. And if they beat the 49ers, well, I was right on the game call.
Erring on the side of accountability again, and owing in part to the 49ers quarterback issues, the preseason view still feels right:
Bears: 16 49ers: 14
