Former Blackhawks assistant coach Mike Haviland has found a new job after Joel Quenneville relieved him of his duties in early May.
Haviland has accepted an assistant coaching job with the Norfolk Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, according to theahl.com.
In Norfolk, Haviland will assist ex-Hawks head coach Trent Yawney, which won't be the first time. Haviland succeeded Yawney as head coach in Norfolk when they were part of the Blackhawks organization, compiling a 93-51-10-6 record from 2005-07 before coaching the Rockford IceHogs from 2007-08.
