Zion Williamson, Jrue Holiday both out for Pelicans' game with Bulls

Bulls fans hoping to see Zion Williamson return Wednesday night will have to wait a little while longer.

In their injury report posted Tuesday evening, the Pelicans officially ruled Williamson out for their impending matchup with the Bulls. Jrue Holiday, who missed the team's last game against the Utah Jazz with an elbow contusion, will also be inactive.

The Pelicans represent another shorthanded opponent for the Bulls. In the past week alone, they've fallen to the Celtics without Kemba Walker and the Mavericks without Kristaps Porzingis.

Losers of four in a row overall, the Bulls should match up well with a 12-25 Pelicans squad sans its best two-way player and a presumptive phenom in Williamson.

For what it's worth, it seems Williamson is progressing quickly towards a return:

Get well soon, Zion. The NBA will be a better place with you in it.
