Bears coaches warned Wims to avoid Gardner-Johnson before fight

Bears receivers coach Mike Furrey reveals why he was so disappointed in Javon Wims for throwing punches at CJ Gardner-Johnson two games ago, which led to a two-game suspension.

Javon Wims is halfway through serving his two game suspension for repeatedly punching the helmet of Saints' defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, and the optics keep getting worse. On Monday morning, Bears' wide receiver coach Mike Furrey spoke with the media for the first time since the fight – and here's what he said about it: 

 That's ... not a great look for Wims. He'll be eligible to return to the Bears after Monday night's game against the Vikings, if he does at all.
