Bears lose Thanksgiving heartbreaker in Madden '20 sim

Madden ‘20 predicts the Bears will not have a Happy Thanksgiving this year, as Matt Nagy’s crew suffered another tough loss this week in our simulation series. The offense had one of their most productive games to date, but ultimately turnovers did them in.

QB Mitch Trubisky started out with two touchdown passes early, including the first career touchdown for Riley Ridley, who made his NFL debut in our sim this week (maybe he’ll get his first real-life opportunity this Thursday).

Khalil Mack had a strong showing as well, with three sacks and 10 tackles. However, the Lions were able to capitalize on some costly turnovers from Trubisky, as two of his four interceptions were returned for touchdowns by the Lions.

Late in the fourth, Mitch connected with Cordarrelle Patterson for a touchdown, giving the Bears a 21-20 lead. But on the Bears’ next possession, Pat O’Donnell had his punt blocked, and the Lions returned it for a touchdown. That was the game-winning score, as the Bears lost a tough one on Thanksgiving in Detroit by a score of 28-21.
