An injury-riddled 2015 season has come to a close for Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

The Bears announced on Wednesday morning that they have placed Jeffery and defensive lineman Eddie Goldman on injured reserve.

In the final year of his contract Jeffery appeared in just nine games as he battled a plethora of injuries throughout the season. Despite missing nearly half of the season Jeffery managed to notch 54 receptions for a team-high 807 yards and four touchdowns.

Goldman, the Bears 2015 second-round selection (39th overall) out of Florida State, appeared in 15 games with 12 starts. He registered 39 tackles, 4.5 sacks, six tackles for a loss and 19 quarterback pressures.

In corresponding roster moves the Bears signed defensive linemen Greg Scruggs and Terry Williams.

Scruggs, a 2012 seventh-round selection of the Seattle Seahawks, has compiled eight tackles, two sacks and seven quarterback pressures in 14 games over three seasons.

Williams spent 2015 training camp and preseason with the Bears after going undrafted out of East Carolina.
