The Bears improved their record to 5-6 with last Sunday's victory over the New York Giants, breathing at least a little bit of life into their previously lifeless playoff hopes.

Everything the Bears needed to happen for their playoff hopes in Week 12 basically did. The Panthers, Rams, Eagles and Cowboys all lost. And while the Rams and Eagles have the head-to-head tiebreaker over Chicago, they (like the Bears) have challenging schedules down the stretch.
The Bears need to win out. If they lose another game, their season is over. In Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Lions, Chicago will face a Detroit team in a downward spiral that may have no choice but to start their third-string quarterback. All signs point to a Bears win, but we've been down this road before.
The one game at a time mentality continues this week. Chicago just needs to win; they need to even their record at 6-6. If they do, the Bears live to play another day. If they don't, then it's on to 2020.
