Word for the wise: do not cross Mayor Lori Lightfoot unless you’re prepared to be dressed down on Twitter. Following the Bears’ announcement that they had placed a bid on Arlington Park to potentially move Soldier Field out of the city and into the suburbs, Lightfoot released a statement of her own. And wow did she clap back.

With roasts like that, I’d love to hear what Lightfoot has to say about Spider Tack in baseball, or the general State of the Union for the Bulls. But we won’t likely get any spicy takes from her on those topics unless they take swipes at the city of Chicago, too.
Until then we’ll just have to hope Lightfoot books a set at Second City to see if she’s got any more zingers.
