The Bears made an addition at quarterback for the second straight offseason, agreeing with Andy Dalton on a 1-year contract. What will the 33-year-old signal-caller bring to the table this fall?

The Bears re-signed defensive back Michael Joseph to a one-year contract on Friday.

Joseph came into the Bears organization from Dubuque as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He spent most of his time on the practice squad in 2018 and 2019 before becoming a member of the 53-man roster for the last two weeks of the 2019 season. He did not have any playing time.

The 26-year-old missed the 2020 season after being placed on injured reserve Aug. 31 and then moved to the reserve/COVID-19 list Oct. 24.

In his days at Dubuque, Joseph totaled 156 tackles, 20 pass breakups and 15 interceptions.
