Bears defensive end Cornelius Washington was limited in practices this week because of a back injury suffered on a blindside hit by Green Bay guard T.J. Lang in last Sunday’s Packers win.

The NFL has now hit Lang with a $24,309 fine for the blow that injured Washington’s lower back when the defensive lineman landed on the frigid Soldier Field turf.

Washington is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

The Bears defensive line already is down on headcount, losing tackles Ego Ferguson and Will Sutton to injured reserve earlier this season and then sending nose tackle Eddie Goldman to IR on Friday with an ankle injury that has plagued him since Game 2. Goldman becomes the 19th Bear placed on IR this season.
