Bears general manager Ryan Pace hasn't spoken with the media this season, sans his weekly radio appearance on the team's flagship radio station, which he did once again Sunday morning in advance of Week 10's game against the 3-4-1 Detroit Lions.
Pace acknowledged the frustration present at Halas Hall during this four-game losing streak, but said the Bears have the right mindset to forge through.
“We’re all frustrated. I think that’s normal," Pace said. "But really you just go to a solution-based mindset. That’s what we’re all in. Matt [Nagy] said this before: You either compete or you complain, and I think everyone in our building is here to compete. We’ve got a good chance today at home to right the ship in front of our own fans and that’s something we’re looking forward to.”

The Bears haven't seen the results that were expected from third-year quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the offense as a whole has regressed. And while the offense will naturally draw the most attention from the media, the disappointment with how the year's gone so far runs much deeper than just the quarterback and points scored.
“Every season takes on a different storyline," Pace said. "There’s different types of adversity. We’re hitting some more adversity. We’re disappointed in the record. Obviously we have higher expectations. But this happens in sports. And the reality is we’ve got eight games left and we’ve got a great opportunity to right the ship. We acknowledge the record, but we’re fortunate enough where we can control the outcome.”
