Last night, it was reported that the Bears had given Danny Trevathan a three-year contract extension.
At the time, that was the extent of the reporting. Today, however, Ian Rapoport was able to provide further details on the deal, reporting that it's an extension worth up to $24 million:

It's a big number for Trevathan, who's struggled to stay on the field at times and is coming off an elbow injury that cost him the final two months of the season. The yearly salary puts him in a tier with the top dozen highest-paid linebackers in football, although how the language is more finely structured remains to be seen:
With inside linebacker now addressed, Ryan Pace and co. may turn towards the edge, where a decision on Leonard Floyd's $13 million 5th-year option needs to be made by March 18th.
