The NFL Owners and Players Association have reportedly agreed on a new CBA

Ending a flurry of early-week negotiatoins, owners and the NFLPA have reportedly agreed to a new CBA: 

ADAM SCHEFTER TWEET

After meeting on Tuesday, the NFLPA board of player reps voted 17-14 -- with one abstaining -- to move the vote to all players. The two sides came to a formal agreement on XXX XXX. 

Some of the notable highlights of the new CBA include: 

  • 17-game regular season which is expected to begin in 2021 
  • more roster spots
  • a shortened preseason
  • a higher percentage of revenue for players 
  • upgraded pensions for former players 


There will also be no $250,000 cap on game checks for the 17th game, which was originally proposed by the owners.
