The Bears and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky gave their fanbase a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving with their 24-20 victory over the Detroit Lions. The win evens the Bears' record to 6-6 and may have finally announced the arrival of Trubisky as the Bears' quarterback of the future.

Trubisky finished the game 29-of-38 for 338 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He looked every bit the part of a player worthy of being chosen second overall in the 2017 NFL draft on the team's go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter, one which resulted in a three-yard touchdown pass to running back David Montgomery with just over two minutes left to play in the game.

“A lot of players made a lot of plays, but today was Mitch’s day,” said coach Matt Nagy from Ford Field. “It was his day. He did a lot of things today in regard to making special throws at special times.”

Thursday's win did more than just boost the confidence the Bears have in Trubisky; it also boosted their chance to make the playoffs. The victory, combined with the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Buffalo Bills, has Chicago in the hunt among the six-loss teams chasing the Minnesota Vikings (8-3) for the final NFC wild card.

Nagy was fired up after the win and took his emotions into the locker room with a pretty cool post-game speech. Check it out:
