Blackhawks acquire Toews' younger brother

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired David Toews, younger brother of Jonathan Toews, from the New York Islanders in exchange for future considerations. David was added to the Blackhawks roster for the Oshawa Rookie Tournament this weekend in Ontario.

David Toews, 21, had 20 goals and 28 assists in 60 games for the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) last season. He also had five assists in six postseason games. David was the Islanders third-round selection (66th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He played two seasons at the University of North Dakota, where he had nine goals and 17 assists in 55 games.
