ST. LOUIS – Artem Anisimov left in the first period and did not return as the Blackhawks played the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.
Coach Joel Quenneville said after the game that Anisimov is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. His status is uncertain when the Blackhawks take on the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night at the United Center.
Anisimov’s last shift came with 7:44 remaining in the first period. Later in the first, Jonathan Toews centered Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane and Marcus Kruger did double duty, centering the top line with Ryan Hartman and Marian Hossa as well as his usual place on the third line.
