It will be the Hawks' seventh outdoor game, more than any other team. Their first contest outside was 2009's Winter Classic against the Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field (6-4 loss). Most recently outdoors, Chicago took on the Boston Bruins for 2019's Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium (4-2 loss).
The Blackhawks are 1-5-0 when braving the elements.
Their lone outdoor win came in 2014's Stadium Series game on March 1 in a 5-1 rout of the Pittsburgh Penguins at a snowy Soldier Field. Former Hawks forward Kris Versteeg is the only NHL player to score a goal at the United Center, Wrigley Field and Soldier Field.
