Brother Rice senior running back Xazavian Valladay (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) caught the attention of the Wyoming Cowboys and head coach Craig Bohl this past summer at the Lake Forest College satellite camp at Willowbrook. Valladay's initial impression from the Wyoming staff eventually led to Valladay giving the Cowboys his verbal commitment this evening.

"I feel like I can excel at Wyoming," Valladay said. "Wyoming is where I belong. Wyoming offers a great engineering program plus the football program is on  the rise. It's a great fit do I committed."

Valladay made an official visit to Wyoming this past weekend and that visit certainly helped Valladay make his final choice.

"The visit was great. The mountains left me speechless. My Mom was really impressed with the academic programs at Wyoming and my family also thinks Wyoming is just a great fit for me in all phases."

Valladay, who had an offer from Western Illinois was also drawing late season recruiting interest from several Mid American Conference and Missouri Valley Conference schools before ending his recruiting process tonight.
