Share

School: Morgan Park

2018-19 record: 29-5 (8-1 Public League Red-South/Central)

Postseason results: Lost to Bogan in Class 3A sectional finals.

Players to watch: Recent Illinois commit Adam Miller is a co-Player of the Year favorite as the high-scoring guard can take over a game with just one stretch of shooting. Following a big summer, senior point guard Marcus Watson gained a lot of confidence and committed to Wake Forest. Junior Brandon Weston has plenty of hype as well after transferring in from Lake Forest Academy. Weston has high-major scholarship offers as well.

Why they're in the power rankings: This is arguably Nick Irvin's most talented team as the Mustangs have a high-major backcourt, a high-major prospect on the wing and multiple frontcourt weapons. Senior Isaiah Burrell provides plenty inside while freshman J.J. Taylor opened eyes with his play this fall. Morgan Park has national expectations entering this season as they're the favorite in Class 3A.
