Ex-Fire head coach Frank Yallop has found a new home.

Yallop has signed a three-year contract to become the head coach and President of Soccer Operations, the team announced Wednesday.

Arizona United SC co-chairmen Kyle Eng and Brett Johnson explained the hiring.

“Entering our third season of play, we wanted to show our fans and our players that we were committed to putting a winning and championship product on the field, and we couldn’t think of a better way to communicate it than hiring someone like Frank Yallop,” said Eng and Johnson. “Frank’s experience and success speaks for itself and he’ll immediately raise the bar and put the rest of the league on notice that Arizona United SC is serious about being the best club in USL.”

Yallop spent almost two years with the Fire, signing on Oct. 31, 2013. Yallop's 2015 season was cut short after the team released him on Sept. 20, a day after the Men in Red's loss to Orlando City SC.

During his time with Chicago, the two-time MLS Coach of the Year posted a record of 13-26-24.
