An 11-8-0 finish and wins in five of their last six games was impressive enough for the Columbus Blue Jackets to drop the interim tag on Todd Richards and name him their permanent head coach according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Overall, the Jackets went 18-21-2 under Richards after starting the season 11-25-2. They also learned how to hold a lead, going 14-0 when leading after the second period.
