Biggest storyline: Can the Trevians win the Central Suburban South and become a major player in the 2018 Class 8A state playoffs?
Names to watch this season: TE/DL Duke Olges (Northwestern) and RB/LB Brian Sitzer
Biggest holes to fill: New Trier has some key starters back this fall (11 returning starters) but will need to fill a few key spots this summer (LB/WR).
EDGY's Early Take: New Trier and head coach Brian Doll is looking for improvement this season after an early exit from the state playoffs in 2017. The Trevians will look towards some key names this fall including RB/LB Brian Sitzer plus two-way standout TE/DL 3 star ranked Duke Olges (Northwestern) plus senior QB Carson Ochenshirt. New Trier will also need to come out of the gates strong with opening games at York then hosting neighborhood rival Loyola Academy in Week 2.
