Postseason hero Kyle Schwarber’s folk legend was born in October.
As a rookie, Schwarber made his playoff debut with the Cubs in 2015. In 69 regular season games, Schwarber hit 16 home runs, but his most memorable blast of 2015 came in Game 4 of the NLDS against the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the seventh inning, Schwarber hit a home run on top of the video board in right field. The 438 feet home run would send St. Louis home for the winter.

In 2016, a highly anticipated season, Schwarber missed all but two regular season games with a torn ACL. Six months later, Schwarber made a surprise return to the field for the World Series.
In the Fall Classic, Schwarber had seven hits in 17 at-bats, including the lead-off single in the top of the 10th inning of Game 7. Schwarber’s heroic return helped inspire the Cubs to their first World Series title in 108 years.
