The Cubs activated right-hander Carlos Marmol from the 15-day disabled list and optioned fellow right-handed pitcher Rafael Dolis to Triple-A Iowa on Monday.

Marmol landed on the DL on May 12 after suffering a right hamstring strain. He's 0-1 with two saves and a 6.35 ERA in 15 relief appearances. He will be available to pitch today against the Padres.

Marmol made two appearances as part of his rehab in Iowa and posted no record and a 0.00 ERA. In the two innings he pitched, he walked two, struck out four, limiting opponents to a .143 batting average.

In his 23 relief appearances with the Cubs this season, Dolis is 2-4 with four saves and a 5.68 ERA. He has an 0-2 record and a 24.00 ERA in his last five outings.

Marmol started the season as the Cubs' closer, but struggled and gave way to Dolis. But the rookie didn't fare any better and was since removed from the role and now finds himself in Triple-A, trying to regain his form.
