I hadn't had the chance to meet Marist junior inside linebacker recruit Micah Awodiran (6-foot-1, 215 pounds) until the recently held EDGYTIM Underclassmen Showcase powered by EFT Football Academy. I remember hearing good things about Awodiran from one of Marist's rival's coaches (yes, opposing coaches can and do say good things from time to time about opposing teams) but at first was a bit hesitant to watch his highlight video.
Why?
Well let's just say that the Redhawks defense wasn't exactly the first thing that popped into my mind when thinking about the 2015 Class 8A state runner-up team.
Yet Awodiran's video was impressive. Impressive would also describe his overall performance at the Underclassmen Showcase and get to know this latest top name to watch in the Class of 2017.
