It took 24 years, but Doug Wilson finally got his call to the Hockey Hall of Fame, joining Marian Hossa in the 2020 class.
Wilson spent 14 of his 16 NHL seasons patrolling the blue line for the Blackhawks, amassing 779 of his 827 career points with Chicago. He finished top-five in Norris Trophy voting four times in his career, winning the award for the league's top defenseman in 1982.
One of the greatest players to play for the franchise, Wilson ranks ninth in Blackhawks history in games played (938), fourth in assists (554), seventh in points (779) and tied for seventh in power play goals (80).
Drafted by the Blackhawks sixth-overall in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft, Wilson also tallied 80 points in 95 career playoff games in his career.
