The Chicago Red Stars are committed to acting to see through change in the fight against systemic racism and police brutality.
The statement reads:
"To the Black players of the NWSL: We recognize you. We see you. We stand with you.

"We will not only amplify, we will act. With your leadership, the Chicago Red Stars commit to continuing the fight against systemic racism and senseless police brutality.
"With conviction, we declare that Black lives matter.
"We hear your voice. You won't be silenced."
Women's sports leagues, notably the WNBA, have been at the forefront of fighting for progress in all facets of society, including racism and police brutality.
This isn't the Red Stars organization's first comments on the issue of racism and police brutality this summer.
Days earlier the team released a statement on protests going on around sports.
