Ben Zobrist's Chicago home is off the market.
Zobrist, a former Cub and 2016 World Series hero, sold his Victorian-style North Center property for $2 million, per a listing on Redfin. The six-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home was placed on the market back in January with an asking price of $2.1 million.
Zobrist, 40 next month, spent four seasons on the North Side from 2016-19. The versatile defender hit .269/.362/.411 as a Cub, famously knocking in the go-ahead run in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series to earn MVP honors.
Zobrist's last big league was 2019, when he spent four months on the restricted list while tending to a personal matter. He said last March he wasn't formally retired but had no plans to play in 2020.
