Madden '21 sim: Colts stifle Bears, Foles in close win

Share

Another week of our Madden '21 simulations, and yet another loss for the Bears. This time, a 13-12 defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts.

To recap, Madden has predicted the Bears to lose each of their first three games. But the real-life Monsters of the Midway have forged their own path to a 3-0 start. Hopefully, that trend will continue this week.

Virtually, Nick Foles made his debut as starting quarterback this week, and while his numbers were decent (completing 20 of 35 passes for 226 yards), he did not provide much of a spark to the offense. The loss of Tarik Cohen had a significant impact on the Bears this week, as the offense was unable to score a single touchdown in the game.

There were some standout performances on the defensive side of the ball, specifically from Akiem Hicks, who racked up three sacks in the game. Late in the contest, the Colts took a 13-12 lead over the Bears after settling for a field goal due to three consecutive goal line stops by the Bears defense.

However, on the ensuing possession -- and final drive of the game -- Foles threw an interception to Xavier Rhodes, which sealed the victory for Indianapolis.

If the real Bears can continue their winning ways, perhaps Madden will start to show them a little more respect moving forward.
