Is it finally time for the NHL to land in Las Vegas?

Comcast SportsNet Sports Business Insider Rick Horrow discusses the possibility after learning of the recent deal worth more than $6 million for T-Mobile to become a naming sponsor on a new 20,000-seat arena in downtown Las Vegas.

Horrow also reports it is a joint development venture between AEG and MGM.

The NHL's expansion committe may meet and come to a decision as early as Feb. 1 regarding whether or not they will generate a new team in Sin City.

"We'll have to see how it shakes out," Horrow said. "With all of the NHL votes dependent on how the Vegas situation can be put together and also what happens with Quebec and a lot of other markets around the NHL."
