Charles Tillman has locked down opposing wide receivers all year, but he may not be have the pleasure of squaring off with Andre Johnson Sunday night if his expected newborn has anything to say about it.
Tillman's wife, Jackie, is pregnant with the couple's fourth child and is due any day. Tillman said the baby is expected by Monday "for sure," but that it could be Sunday, which could force him to miss Sunday night's home game against the Texans.
Tillman gave 670 The Score's Laurence Holmes the rundown.
The wife is due any day, so hopefully this baby can stay in until after the game on Sunday, he told Holmes. I hope she stays inIm having another girl. Monday, for sure, but if she comes Sunday, I think Im going to have to be at the hospital Sunday. So, I hope she stays in until after Sunday.
Tillman is in the middle of a career year in which he has recorded two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns), seven forced fumbles, 43 tackles and six passes defended. Tillman is considered one of the leading candidates for defensive player of the year, along with Houston's J.J. Watt, who will square off against Chicago on Sunday night.
