With a week of practice wrapping up today, here's what's been happening in the lead up to Sunday's Bears-Buccaneers matchup:
- Prince Amukamara missed all of practice this week. He's listed as day-to-day but reports seem to indicate it might be a while before he returns.
- Speaking of Amukamara, the corner posted this great tweet after last Sunday's win. It's not news persay, but still worth a peek.
- Anthony Miller didn't practice this week either after dislocating his shoulder on Sunday. It's being reported he won't need surgery, but like Amukamara, there's no set timetable.
- Miller's absence is an opportunity for former first-round pick Kevin White, our Bears Insider J.J. Stankevitz writes. Who knows how it shakes out, but this certainly feels like White's last chance to make an impact in a Bears uniform.
- The Bears look to be getting DeAndre Houston-Carter back, however. The safety went through a full practice with no restrictions.
- John Franklin III, of Last Chance U fame, was signed to the practice squad -- but was then released later that day.
- On Tampa's side of things, QB Jameis Winston returned to practice this week. He missed the first three games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
- There's still no word on whether Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at QB for the Bucs, although Pro Football Talk read the tealeaves and took an educated guess.
- For Tampa, Gerald McCoy and Vita Vea headlined this week's injury report.
